Chris Aldhous honed his writing skills as an award-winning creative director on clients as diverse as Volvo, Lilt, Ericsson, L’Oreal and the FA. He created the HYPE art project for Hewlett Packard and took it across Europe, opening pop-up DIY art galleries in Paris, Moscow, Milan and Berlin. It won over 40 international awards including two Gold Lions at the Cannes Advertising Festival.
As a result, he contributed to several books about the future of creative marketing before setting up his own agency GOODPILOT, specialising in creative strategy, social media and art partnerships, culminating in the GHOSTS OF GONE BIRDS project that toured the UK and involved over 200 artists, musicians and poets in a creative fight v extinction. The book of the project, a guide to raising a creative army for conservation, was published by Bloomsbury in 2013.
With his latest consultancy STRANGE CHEMISTRY LTD, Chris has provided new creative thinking for charities and NGOs as varied as International Alert, SIPRI, 3Faiths Forum, Bollocks to Poverty, COP21, WWF and Prostate Cancer UK. He combines this with developing ideas for the screen, books and graphic novels – the latest of which, BADGERED, he has created with artist Oliver Harud.
Chris lives with his wife in a small village on the Suffolk/ Norfolk borders.
