Camilla Morton is the London-based fashion writer, editor and author of eight books, including the international Bestseller How to Walk in High Heels, and creator of the Fashion Fairytale Memoir Series, featuring Christian Lacroix, Manolo Blahnik and Diane von Furstenberg. Gate-crashing shows from an early age Camilla graduated from the fashion cupboard and began her writing career as the runway reporter for VOGUE.co.uk and Harper’s Bazaar (US), covering the international and couture collections. Her life’s dream was achieved when she dived into a couture house, and working alongside John Galliano in Paris, at both his own label and Christian Dior creating the text, stories and cult Gazette. Camilla has gone on to write for newspapers and glossies, contributing to online and editorial in UK and Internationally. She was also recently Senior Commissioning Editor at Laurence King Publishing, where she published: Catwalking, Validated, Giles to YSL to books on flowers, drag, print, fashion, football and weeds. Most often you might not see what she is doing, as she prefers to collaborate behind the scenes, as a trusted ghost, creating the ‘voice’ for high-end fashion houses, brands, beauty legends and fashion mavericks. She can often be found in Claridge’s, reading fairy tales in high heels, or in the bauble department of Libertys, who’s new podcast she is hosting.
