John Boyne studied English Literature at Trinity College, Dublin and Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia, Norwich. John is the author of eleven novels for adults, six for younger readers, and a collection of short stories. His 2006 novel The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas has sold over ten million copies worldwide and was made into a Miramax feature film. He was won three Irish Book Awards and was awarded the Hennessy Literary Hall Of Fame award for his extensive body of work. His novels have been published in over 50 languages. In 2015, John was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Letters from the University of East Anglia.
